{"id":8136,"date":"2021-01-03T11:34:18","date_gmt":"2021-01-03T18:34:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/punyamishra.com\/?p=8136"},"modified":"2022-07-26T10:25:12","modified_gmt":"2022-07-26T17:25:12","slug":"creativity-risk-taking-in-teaching-and-learning-a-global-perspective","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/punyamishra.com\/2021\/01\/03\/creativity-risk-taking-in-teaching-and-learning-a-global-perspective\/","title":{"rendered":"Creativity, risk-taking, education"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\"><p><em>EduSummIT is a global community of policy-makers, researchers, and educators working together to move education into the digital age.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>The last EduSummit (2019) was held in Quebec, Canada and I was a member of Thematic Working Group 3 (TWG3) on <em>Creativity for Teachers and Teaching<\/em> led by <a href=\"https:\/\/research.monash.edu\/en\/persons\/michael-henderson\">Michael Henderson<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/danah-henriksen.com\/\">Danah Henriksen.<\/a> The work we did at the meeting has led to an article around creativity, risk-taking, education in global contexts. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the article we review the literature on creativity, risk-taking and failure. We then describe our narrative inquiry-based research approach and present the six international vignettes where creative risk and failure were instantiated. The case study I shared was the story of the work we did with the Miami Globe school district.
