TPCK, in the news

by | Friday, January 11, 2008

The TPCK work by Matt Koehler & myself is featured in the Winter 2008 issue of the New Educator, the magazine published by the College of Education at Michigan State University. You can download the full issue here [pdf], or just the article here [pdf].

Glen Bull, co-director of the University of Virginia’s Curry Center for Technology and Teacher Education, kindly agreed to be interviewed for the story and this is what he had to say:

(TPCK) is likely to have a significant impact on the profession and lead to more effective uses of technology… by viewing (educational technology) through a different lens… The reason that it’s had such good reception is because it resonates with people’s intuition about what needs to be done. They articulated something that didn’t yet have a name.

Thanks Glen.
